Wow

Ok, so I kinda forgot about this. Oops! Ok, so Caitlin is just about 2 1/2 years old now. She's still tall for her age and finally is above the 10th percentile in weight although she has hardly gained anything I guess that's just how the curve goes. We are finally experiencing spring here! We got to go outside and play! I wasn't sure how I would do with the cysts acting up but I did much better than I thought. And, today I'm just a bit sore (was in the ER night before last with the pain). Back to Caitlin! She's growing up sooooooo fast. We've had to use a baby gate at her bedroom door at night because she started getting up at night and walking around the apartment and this morning I heard her get up and I wasn't even sitting up yet and she yelled, "Oh No Mommy!" She pulled on the gate and told me, "It doesn't work!" I was shocked, it came out sooooo clear! I was worried about her speech for a while, but she suddenly went from doing 2 word sentences every once in a while (with coaching) to 3-4 word sentences and TONS of words! We were at the store a few days ago and the cashier said hi to her and she said, "Hi! Dada at work!" LOL, the girl said, "Oh, you like your daddy alot, huh" and Caitlin (almost yelling), "YES!" Yes, my daughter is THAT funny!
I am not currently working. I worked from May-December last year and there was confustion on how much time off you could take and well, my plane tickets were already bought and I really needed to see family--for my mental health! So, since getting back I've been applying places. I really don't want to work retail again but you gotta do what you gotta do!

Wow, I'm really not that good at blogging!

Ok, well, let me see. We got up to Ft. Drum just fine. It was an interesting trip. We got to stop off in ohio and visit beth and devin. I'm soo excited for them to be having a baby, they really deserve it!!!!! We stayed in a hotel the second night but it was a huge bed and dori didn't mind it at all. There was a dunkin donuts right across the parking lot-yum! We got here and I was shocked how much unpacking there was to do!!!! Yeah, we had alot of stuff! I'm most of the way through it I'm just learning how to organize in a small space. I'm starting my new job on the 14th. I can't wait!!! It's at the daycare here onpost. I don't what age I will be working with yet but I don't care!
Ok, now on to Caitlin. She only has one more tooth to come through and we don't have to worry about teeth till her 2yr molars. Now I've just got to call the insurance and see what age they start covering dental visits (old insurance was 1 visit before the age of 3--wierd, I know). She is getting really tall, last measurment over a month ago was 31.5 inches but is still a skinny minny at almost 21 pounds. I'm wanting to reweigh her, she's feeling heavier every day. The summer clothes I got her (not much since it doesn't get that warm up here) are size 2T and her one pair of her sandals are a size 6 the other pairs are size 5 but I don't think those will last us all summer.
She now runs everywhere (which is the funny toddler run) and climbs on everything. She is fearless. She is now going to sleep by herself most of the time now, naps and at night. She says bubble, duck, more, please, eye, dog, dori, mama, daddy, juice, and a few others. Most are hard to tell if you don't know her although a complete stranger heard her say juice and understood her when I thought it was a little hard to understand so I guess she's doing better than I thought. They say this stage (eating things they shouldn't, getting into things they shouldn't, climbing on furniture laughing at you for saying no, etc) ends at around 3 yrs old. Yeah, I don't think this girl will ever stop, she's just too active!

Moving during Ice Storm!

We had the worst timing with this move. An ice storm came in the evening before the packers came. Then we had sleet/freezing rain the whole day. Well, overnight it changed over to snow. So, when the actual movers got here yesterday morning the guy was going to try to clear off the sidewalk till I explained that it was too deep and that you can only see the top of the last step coming off the porch--he decided to leave it the way it was so they ended up walking through sleet/snow to move everything. I just can't believe the timing. Caitlin did soo well not being to run around for two days straight (daycare closed due to weather). Now she is just getting onry. She keeps saying "bye bye" and going to the door. Poor girl, just doesn't understand. Mom and BJ are coming up tonight to get showers and get warm. They still have no power and by ameren's website it will be a while since over 1500 in sikeston are out. Colleen and family are in a house with gas heat and a gas stove their landlord owns and gave them the key to so they could stay warm. I cleaned the car off (half an hour) and then couldn't get it out of the driveway. Very frustrating. Hopefully all this stuff will melt soon!!!!

So much has changed!

Caitlin just turned a year old last week, I can't believe it has been a year already! She had a great party, not the turnout I was expecting but she had her Nana and Gramps, Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Michelle with Uncle Norbert and Nathan, Aunt Colleen with David and Zack and ofcourse me. She wasn't too impressed with the cake but then again, she was tired and hungry and still sometimes wants her bottle to fill her belly but we are doing better with that. She only gets a bottle at bedtime and first thing in the morning. She is on straight table food and is loving it. She is walking 100% of the time now and is really good at it, trying to run now. She is still climbing anything she can get onto. She says mama, dada, yes or yeah, bye, and the rest is still mostly unrecognizable but sometimes sounds like an actual word. She is up to 18lbs now and 30 inches long, she is gonna pass mama up! She got tubes in her ears a couple of weeks ago and did great.
Her daddy is still in texas for a bit longer, he will get a week at home before heading to new york. He is looking into voluntary deployment so we don't have to move and then he gets deployed anyway. We will see what decision he makes.
That is about it! If I forgot anything and I will try to get back on and update!

Haven't updated in a while!

Ok, I haven't updated anything in a while, I've just been too busy.
Caitlin has a tooth now and is cruising along the furniture. She gets into everything now, I can only imagine what she will be like when she starts walking!!! I can't wait!
I am going down to part time at work, the stress is just too much. The details aren't worked out yet but we will get that all lined up Monday. I am having some tests done on the 4th, they think it is my thyroid.
Bentley is in Texas now and will be starting AIT in another week or so. Hopefully we can visit soon.

The Army

I can't believe he actually did it. I really was thinking he would just back out at the last minute and beg for his job back or find something else locally. I am soo sick right now! I hate that by the time he gets back Caitlin won't know her father. He will come back to a toddler, she will be walking, talking, and will probably look a lot different than she does now. All I can do is use pictures of him and keep telling her "that's dada." I really hope she remembers him and I really hope he can come home inbetween basic and ait. We really don't know if that will happen or not and even if it does he will only be home for 1 or 2 days at the most. So, he is off to basic. I can't tell you the feeling when I saw that truck pull up. I felt like it was a herse (sp?) to take my husband away. I don't know what to think right now, I am just devistated. I know we will get through this but I am sure I don't know just how hard it will be. I am going to try to go to bed (as you notice it is still very early in the morning) and get some rest so I can be there for my daughter, I am the only one she has right now. I will update everyone when I have information.

Update!

Caitlin has been making leaps and bounds with her development in the last 2 weeks!!! She can now sit unassisted for a pretty good while and catches herself most of the time. She also is trying soo hard to crawl. She can almost do it! She gets her legs going but can't get her hands going at the same time, but she just drags herself around on her tummy. She is really vocal now with shreaks and sounds. She is also eating more and more foods, she just tried her first french fry yesterday and she was really not sure about it! It was really funny!!!
She is loving her new daycare. They go outside almost every day, they let her move around the room, they use paint, they have all kinds of developmental toys to increase her hand eye coordination as well as to get her moving quicker! I love it too, the only problem is the hours but we are working around it just so Caitlin can be there!
She is currently getting over an ear infection and uti. We ended up in the ER a week ago when her fever just wouldn't stay down and she was acting wierd, we had already been to the doctor's office about the fever and they said she had a double ear infection so we started the antibiotics but because of the uti her temp kept going back up. At the ER they did all kinds of tests and she ended up with an IV of fluids with antibiotics to get her jump started to get better. She was soo upset at the hospital because she just wanted to go to sleep but they kept coming in doing tests, poor thing. We were there from around 6:30pm till 1am. It was exausting but I am glad we got her looked at! She is back to her old self again but doesn't like taking her antibiotics so we put it in her bottle! LOL, she doesn't even realize it is in there!
She will have her 6 month appointment at almost 7 months due to postponing it so she can get over all this stuff before getting shots. I will update more then!
